Looking for a living situation in Santa Marinella next year?

Ciao tutti!

An acquaintance of mine who is a very good person is looking to live here in Santa Marinella next year sent me an email to post to our blog asap. So here it is:

I am looking to live in Santa Marinella next year. I
have two questions:

1. I have found a possibility for a very nice
apartment there which should fit four girls at
800/month (so 200/person/month). Any takers? I have
to decide in the next few days if I should take it or
not, and the people I originally thought would go in
with me look like they're backing out for various
reasons. So I thought posting to the Santa Marinella
blog might be the fastest way to get in contact with
people who may be interested.

2. OR: Is there anyone who is rearranging living
situations for next year and looking for a roommate
(housemate)?

Her name is Maria Colonna, and as I said above, she is a great Catholic and person who will make a good flatmate. To reach her, leave a comment on this blog post. I will authorize her today to post on the blog herself in case she has more to communicate. Best wishes on all upcoming exams and travels! -jon

Where do 8 months go in Italy?

I guess being Jon's sister isn't qualified enough to get a post regarding departure. :)
I am leaving for home this Wednesday, June 6th. It has come up so quickly, I don't really know what to expect. Except for, I guess, lots of momma's home cooking! I would like to say goodbye to everyone here in Santa Marinella. You all have made my trip so very enjoyable. And unfortunately I don't have a cent to my credit on my phone, and I don't really want to add more with less than 24 hours in Italy. So if you could all pass on the word to whom ever you see, it would be wonderful.
All I am proposing, really simple, is a gathering at the Gigi bar at around 5 pm tomorrow.
I'll be there. Hopefully I'll see a few of you kids there too!
If not, again, I can't really express in words how much you all have touched me these past 8 months. The only way I can really think of is a really good hug. So just come down for 5 minutes, if that is all you can spare! I am pretty good at giving hugs.
So, see you tomorrow!

Viva Molo 21!

Kevin and Eleonora have opened their new restaurant, Molo 21. Kevin is the Head Chef and Eleonora is the Restaurant Manager. They have both been working very hard to prepare for this, and I think that they have done an excellent job.

Connected to La Najadi Hotel on Lungomare Marconi (just north of the main beach), it's located right on the sea with an amazing view, offering both indoor and outdoor seating. The restaurant serves primarily fresh seafood, but also offers some of the best pasta and risotto that I have had in Italy. That's pretty cool considering it is coming from our Canadian friend.

They also have a wine bar, and will operate a beach as of June 1st. I may be a bit biased, but I think it is the best restaurant in Santa Marinella. And we finally have a wine bar!!! The wine bar will be THE new hotspot in this town for sure when people find out about it. Thank God, because the Monkey Pub needs some help.

Do yourself a favor and come check it out. Tell em Jonny Bello sent ya! ;)

The Wunsch Family are leaving us for good...again.

If my sources are correct this year, Mark, Jessica and baby Felicity will be heading back to the United States this week to start their new life there.

Of course they will be missed, and we send them off with prayers and best-wishes!

For those trying to keep track of John Kunz's travel plans, the latest is that he will NOT be coming back to Santa Marinella this summer at all. Maybe next year...

Good luck to all those preparing for exams this week!

We're gettin the league back together!

Yes, I know. John Toohey looks quite different with a mustache and funny pajamas, but don't we all? Anyhow, if this weather keeps up, expect football to come back to Santa Marinella next Sunday the 18th. Let's say 13:00.

Come let out all that post exam aggression on the beach!

No, you don't HAVE to come in your Long Johns, but I'm sure the locals would dig it.

Quantitative Metathesis said...

Hello all,

I will be studying in Rome this summer with Fr. Reggie Foster, and so I'm looking for a place to live during June and July. John Sonnen suggested that I ask at this blog if anyone can help me.

Do you know of a likely place for a single, American, female student who lives on a shoestring budget? I'd appreciate your help! Grazie!

Correction on the last post! Chris says something has come up, so the get-together can't go down...yet. He hopes to reschedule for either Feb 9th or the 10th. Stay tuned.

Tyson's Back

Ciao tutti e felice anno nuovo!

Tyson is back in town and looking for a place to rent. He would be interested in living with a responsible flatmate that any of us might know, or in an afforable monolocale. If anyone knows of anything, he could really use the help to find something within a week or so.

Hotels and hotdogs can get expensive.
